haa nope.

Do you remember what you used for the seal. The ones I have seem too tight. I have to see if the seal for 32-34 is different.

I don't remember having a problem with that. The seal rides on the new spacer that you add to the spindle. Right??

Could be. The kit should be here tomorrow. The other set of 32 spindles I have have a steel seal and I see that is what is listed in the aftermarket/restorer catalogs too.

The Vern Tardel motor mounts finally showed up and I got them installed last night. I will be replacing great looking hex head bolts with a round head something. I still have not found a rivet head with threads bigger than 1/4" so it will more than likely be a slot head. The engine has about a 1 or 2 degree rearward slope now which I can live with. Some people say to mount the motor flat with a torque tube and some say 3 degrees so who knows.

Oh yea I also put the 32 spindles on to see how the steering would work out. My backing plate adapter kit won't be here until Wed.

How about carriage bolts. knock down the square shoulder with a grinder. Going through two pieces of metal and a lock washer you don't need threads to go all the way to the head.

hmm they have the cloth wire I need too but only have rivet head to 1/4". I may go with carriage bolts.

Last night I got the tops of the 32 spring perches removed and tacked to the aftermarket lowers. I used a whole saw to "machine" them off the old ones and tacked them on. When I disassemble it I will finish welding and grind them smooth.
