tape
« Reply #201 on: February 21, 2010 6:45 am »
the tape is not part of the turning process it was put on so i didnt mar the freshly surfaced face of the dash while i broke the bottom edge and rolled the top one.

as for the turning that was easy. 1 inch wire brush lapping each brush mark by half then moving my guide by a 1/2 inch thusly lapping it by half again and stagering each row so they didnt line straight up

Here's a working shot. Ross also taped the wire brush so that the size stayed consistent.

I was thinking about a hose clamp but was wondering if the screw would throw off the spinning of the brush.
