We pulled in Wednesday night around 11pm. Be prepared for single lane traffic coming in. Must have been a lot of grant money for road work this year. We pulled the coupe down so we would also have room to haul goodies back to Fargo area or anywhere between here or there, unless I fill it up first. cell # is 701-709-0727.
...And if you call in the next 20 minutes, cause we can't do this all day...

Not on the way back, on the way down blew a right rear tire bent up the 1/4 panel and tore the plastic flare. Sat in a rest area for about 1/2 hour to miss the tornados.

Met Stefan and his girlfriend, got to hang out with my fellow Suedes in the motel parking lot. I'm sure glad we were at the same motel.

Also met Deucekustoms, he was not having a good day.

I had issues with the coupe on wednesday night I took Ashley to t ball and noticed that it was running like crap on the way there, starving for fuel, and on the way back home it quit running. I called Val and had her bring the truck out and tow me home. ... So I replaced the fuel filter which was a bit dirty and hoped that might be the problem but no luck. so then I took the carb top off thinking the float was sticking, I then found the carb was dry.  Then I look at the fuel pump and noticed a pin was sticking out the side of it, this pin is what held the fuel pump arm on.  so that was my problem. I removed the fuel pump and fished the pump arm out Luckily several years ago Larry Larson had given me a new fuel pump after he got rid of his pontiac engine so i installed it backed the car out of the shed and put it on the trailer to go to 50's.  So then Friday at 50's the car was running like crap on the way to the fair grounds,  It was running rough like it was an ignition problem...  So while the engine was running rough and shaking one of the guys, cant remeber who,  saw the weld broke on the boxing plate at the motor mount,  Too much racing at the track I guess.  So I parked the A for the weekend and trailered it back home.

The frame has  been repaired now. The rough engine was the float set too high and it was leaking fuel, I must have bumped it when I re installed the carb top.  o well  its ready to go again...

Had a great time.  No problems down or back.  Sat around the campground Thurs. night and watched the storms go around us. Cops came around and told us if the sirens went off to go to the coliseum. They made the north campgrounders go to some building for an hour.  All it did was sprinkle a little. All in all a great weekend.

I figured out I need to get the interior done or some mufflers....maybe both. And I've got to get some different gears.  1st is too slow and 2nd lugs around the fairgrounds. I maybe have a line on a Columbia 2 speed rear.

I saw a light blue mid 50's pontiac 2 door post on the side of the interstate outside of Fergus Falls. Was trying to head southeast. Don't know who it was, but looked like our crowd.

Made it all weekend without a hiccup, close call on 94 though by rodgers on the way out, got hot and Vapor locked but i got out of it, never did boil over.

1100 miles total average 14mpg.    ran like a top all weekend.

Gonna work a little on the cooling system though....   thinking a new Radiator is in the works...

Shit Aaron, if you made it through that traffic jam your cooling system is working fine, that was as bad as it can get.:) The flathead ran up to 209 on one side and 190 on the other. Did anyone notice how long we crawled along in that shit?

Darren Buchholz said it took him 1 1/2 hours to get from the fair grounds to the other side of Rogers that was sometime in the afternoon.

I went through around 10:30 AM I'm guessing about 1/2 hour.

We heard they had switched the road work to the westbound side so went up Snelling, onto 694, first exit onto #10, and took #10 to Monticello and got back on 94. A few stop lights, but smooth sailing.
