Long story short.  Have all my insurance (home, life, health, everyday cars) through one place.  Have had my '30 Model A also insured through the same place for past 3 years. Went to put insurance on my wife's '33 coupe and they dropped it plus my Model A because they were "Modified". Claimed they didn't catch it the first time around. Whatever! My question is has anyone else had a problem with this and if so where are you getting your custom, classic, hot rod, whatever, insurance from?  I think it is time to call that little green lizard I see on the TV all the time. Thanks!

I've had Hagerty on my old cars for quite a few years.  And even had a claim on my "A" project from my shop fire.  They sent an adjuster the next day, were very equitable, and I had a check within days. Followed up a couple weeks later to find out how the claim experience had gone. You only pay one liability premium no matter how many cars you have insured with them. You supply them with pics and agree on a value. It is sold through many independent agents. I sure have been happy with them.

Our collector coverage is with Continental Western written thru Vaaler in GF; Jodi Adair 800-553-4291. We have home, dailiy driver, trailers, motorcycles and camper thru Vaaler who writes for: Continental, Progressive, Safeco & others. Good luck!

I am through Continental Western also through an agent in hazen, Agreed Value... Damn cheap too.  good coverage.

Edsel and T about 225 a year

I have Hagerty for most of my cars.  I think it is a good deal for unmodified cars.  I don't care for the premium hike that Hagerty takes for a modified car.  The Model A with the new fangled V-8 engine is with State Farm with only liablity coverage.  

Both companies took pictures so I would guess that someone approves the policy at both companies.

Keep in mind the real reason you have insurance is for the liability. While replacement value is important, liability  is far more important!! If you have a accident and are at found to be at fault, they will sue your ass!! I was able to get way more liability ins at Hagerty than at Grundy.

I would never have anything but full coverage on any of my old cars. I have had claims and all have worked out very well and it is still very reasonably priced. I even have coverage on the ones that are still in project stage.

Depends some on the value of the car.  The stuff that I have is not that valuable to where liability is good enough.  

I went with Hagerty because I could pick up the full coverage for not much more than having just liability on the cars with State Farm.

Continental Western through my Jacklitch Insurance Agency in Wahpeton.  Very good Rates and Coverage.  They were very good to work with when the '51 got T-boned a couple of years ago.
