We opted to do the valve train first. So in went the cam and then the valve and seat assemblies. Bolo also stopped by to get educated on how to do this as well. We ended up making some "special tools" to get the guide keepers in place.

I put the flywheel on a severe diet... It went from 34 lbs down to 20 lbs!
After it was cut I had Wayne put a new ring gear on it and balance it as well.

I got to push the body and the frame out into the daylight for a few seconds while I switched them around and got the engine on the cherry picker.

Then in it went. My daughter Emily and I measured the length for the torque tube and drive shaft and I dropped them off at Thurlow Welding today to get cut.

I happened to stop by on Sat and checked it out. It's going to be ONE FINE roadster.

Now for a couple of O/T comments. The back house garage door is all so looking good and Wayne and Bolo must have the same barber.

few more.....still need to paint the gas tank, hood and grill shell. The body shop is still backed up with hail work so I am not sure when I can get the booth to finish it.
