If you need that car to go to a run i have a purple in color 427 chevy you seriously can borrow (it'll bolt right in) cuz i want to see my BBC motor in a model A. . . and if youre chest isn't that hairy (mine isn't) i have a 305 you can use too. theyre both just sitting in my shop and it'd be a pleasure to lend them to you

WOW what an offer! I will see what I can figure out in the next two nights. I need to lift the body off the frame to pull the motor so I will not be a quicky swap. I had the damn thing apart and everything looks good inside so I just can't figure out what the hell is up with this thing.

How about voltage?  Over or under charging at all?

It is charging about 15v when running and I tried disconnecting the alternator too. No difference.
