As some of you know I am in Chicago this week for a GM meeting. I am only 20 miles from Sycamore IL, home of Marty and Son’s Body Shop, former home of the Pileup. So I had some free time this afternoon and headed over to see if he was working on anything interesting.  Up until last year hot rods and customs were a side deal for Drew (one of the sons and Abomber30 on the HAMB) but now is  what they do with most of their time. I figured they would have a hot rod or two stuck in the corner that they would work on in their free time but WOW was I surprised to see all the stuff in there. Here are the photos I took. The one of the Ford dealer was on the way there I just thought it was a cool sign.

Wow lots of cool stuff there.  Kinda nice that work took you that close.
Got a question on the frame on this,  did they do a sweep on the frame?

I remember when he posted on the HAMB that he did it and it was about a year ago so these two may be the first he has done......I want to try it.

what's that you say? ......... more Chicagoland hot rod pics.....OK.  :D

Tonight I went over to Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle in Addison, IL. Met Kevin the owner and Magnet and Mike Zenor from the HAMB too. Here are some pics of the stuff Kevin is working on. The sedan is an Essex and the roadster belongs to one of his employees.
