Even when its fully chromed, it still fits the mild customness of the kar nicely. . . go chrome.

Thought #2: Can always mold it later when you're driving it and need to tweek something for some freshness.

I think the masses have spoken. I like the chrome upper myself, so Ill keep this one as is until I come across a better upper.

Payday is next week, so well see how getting mechanical things in order leaves me for the weekend of the run. Picking at the little things now that don't involve a wallet. I hate sanding.

Remember the nasty spot on my quarter? Well it's finally looking better. I also red did the fuel filler door piece as it was pretty crappy (my first sheetmetal work on the car) and got a fuel filler neck from Antibling's parts car. I'll be able to wrap up the filler relocate to trunk, just need a 53-54 gas cap.
A new door and improved door has been hung and the inner guts swapped in. Brakes are bled and seat wrapped with a blanket (haha).

Getting closer....

Thanks guys! I enjoy doing/learning sheetmetal work, just taking my time on the pieces and its really relaxing.... until you get to the hammer and dolly work.

I nabbed a wire harness last week and have been steadily plugging away on it. I'd say I am 75% of the way through it. I also decided on keeping the stock pump and pulley so I will push the radiator forward by flipping the support around and trimming the gravel pan. I am ordering a few things now to finish off my wiring and my fuel setup. She's getting closer....
