Scrap yard changes
« on: June 24, 2009 1:52 pm »
Took a car body in to the local recycle yard. They took the VIN and my driver’s license # and put it on a form, said they had to send it in. I never asked where “in” was. I would not have taken it in cause the prices is only $10.00 a ton but some vandals had knocked the windows out.

when it gets reported stolen they will know to com a knocking for
some places want the titles too was told they paid $10 more with a title
so if we got a title to something we maybee can go looking for the metal

There are some new laws coming down in ND according to a local salvage yard effective 2010.   More government regulations.

from what i was told this is coming down from the federal government.  I dont think they care about stolen car parts.  I think they would rather see all the old tin crushed. my 2 cents

Less cars, less titles... no gas...  I might as well stop building my hot rod empire.
