I couldn't resist a January cruise.  It warmed up to 25 degrees so I drove the A from Bob Wagner's garage (shop tour) back home.  I hit some slush and she threw up some nice rooster tails, which cleared out the traffic next to me.  

I'm sorry--the coat is NOT for sale.

 

Bob's got a nice start on the 2 dr "hemi phaeton".

Looks like he is enjoyn' some of the Long Island Tea he had on the tour, I know we enjoyed it.

Yes--from what I heard many enjoyed the tea and some way more than others.  Bob's "Hot Rod Bar" must have been "comfortable".





Wholehearted Congratulations to the "BALL-O-THE-EYE" on a very well deserved pic of the year.  Hard work and good design does not go unnoticed among your peers.

People I met coming out of Duane Leingang's shop just said "WOW".

That was necessary in order for "clutch" operation.  The A coupe has restricted room and "strategic" buttoning contributed to the safe operation of the clutch and brake pedal.  Also the overdrive was locked out for compression braking control on the ice and snow.  It is now an all season Hot Rod.

Maybe that's why people were looking at me on the way home.  They didn't understand the buttoning configuration.  It was a little difficult to get to my wallet and find my license when I got stopped on the expressway.
