Newbie in F/M area
« on: December 03, 2008 5:14 am »
:D  Another newbie on the site. Working on my first project ever @ 40 plus, so I have been crusin the local (F/M) sites for information and for contacts.  I've seen most of the rides of the members and like what I see! Recommended to this site by a Toppers Member and glad he did!
The project I started with my two sons is a 27" Essex two door sedan. We are currenly getting parts to get the ball rolling. So far we have a frame, and engine, grill, and body.

Should be interesting.............

Sorry it took so long for me to get back onsite. The frame is Oakland rails that I got on the cheap from a customer of mine. Fresh outa the weeds up North. I plan to "suicide" the front axle, doing away with the parallel leafs and goin buggy instead. Currently looking for a front axle, spring and radius arms as well as a short 8" or 9" rear. Plan to go buggy on that one as well just to keep it simple....

Welcome to the board.
what are the plans for the engine.

The engine is a Cadi 500 running 472 heads to bump the compression and a mild cam. Took out the HEI (too big an ugly and replaced it with a points distributor (smaller and looks right not running a hood) running Pertronix for reliability and laziness. Since the compression is stupid hi for pump gas, we are setting her up for E85 as well.
