dude that first pic is killer. it kinda looks like a old horror movie poster. in those tones and textures
I took the car over to a friends house back home to show it to her and take her for a spin. She goes out and said it reminded her of "that car from the movie that it kills people". Then when she got in asked if she was alright riding in there the car might get jealous.
I probably drove about 20 miles after I unloaded it on E but it ran out of gas right when it rolled into the spot where I wanted to park it...
Nothing spectacularly strange but since it's obviously not a "Christine" car, I think I'm going to call her "Lena"
What are your plans?
Well plans and what I'd like to do are two different things. I've learned plans get me stuck with a project that I can't get going on again and thus never drive it.
The only plan I have is to fix the carb, the ball joint, and drive it. Now what I'd like to do depends on things like the balance between time off work and money from working all the time at work. And if I get a shop to work on this in.
I'd like to get the rims off, take them to a friend back home and have him sand blast and powdercoat them at work, black of course. Then I'd like to go to Perham and pick up those WWW's that are in the for sale section if they are still there and put them on.
Then I'd like to air bag it. Not only that but build my own 4-link and bag brackets. If that doesn't look doable for me by confidential I might try and cut the coils up front and put a lowering block in the rear (if anyone has lowering blocks they'd part with let me know).
Then if by winter I have a shop I'd drag the parts car out, get all the patch panels I need, patch it up, shave the handles, maybe suicide the rear doors, recess the headlights, and maybe do something with the grill (I seen one with the desoto teeth grill and I really liked it). Then I'd like to shave the bumper bolts and have everything re-plated. Paint the car gloss black, and instead of the bronze trim insert, paint that a satin black.
