Check out this link. The guy is building a 53 Packard. He put a Chevy grill opening in it. Now check out his avitar...........looks familar but I just can't place it. :)

I did a mount for my caterpillar earthmover like that, but the engine was mounted solid

that should be interesting with a couple of moving motor mounts as to where the alternator moves back and forth????should get tight and loose quick???

Related to the lost Packard.....this is a pic of Dallas with a mustache!  You see when Dallas built the Packard originally he had said mustache, he also supported the flavor-savor when he decided to tear the car down to redo and finish....Dallas shaved the mustache and the Packard became the forgotten survivor it is.  Dallas can only work on this car while he sports the 'stache....time for Dallas "Tom Selleck" Hammond to step up.

That alt mount is pretty clever. When the engine pulling hard at high RPM the engine torques over, tightening the belt so it won't slip or come off !
