Check out these series of photos. Lots of local cars, including Rydells Anglia, and the "Sweet Thang" of Fargo! Where is this thing now!!?!?
LOTS of pages...

I have been on that site in the past. You can also see guys like Dwayne who used to own the dragstrip in Fargo, Tom Fisher, Larry Severson from Fargo. Bob Srukness from Minot.

I'm a little bit young to remember, but they used to get all the big names up there in it's heyday.

You can see 'snake. Kallita, WJ and more have been there.   Cool stuff...........

I found 1 picture of the start line and in the background, behind the cars, is the roof of my 55 Nomad wagon.
The Canucks used to get a kick out of us running from the bleachers to the Nomad to fill our "Coca Cola" cups with beer.  Back then, and maybe still, you couldn't drink alcohol in public.  We would buy a large Coke and reuse the cup to conceal our favorite "Barley Pop".

The Nomad was kind of handy back then.  A couple sleeping bags and a cooler were standard equipment.  Head for Keystone/Bison Dragways after work, pull over on a country road when you get tired, then continue to the dragstrip when the sun comes up.

I love this caption on the "Opening day" pics:
if this image doesn't do it for you, you're either too young
or you're on the wrong website

I'd have to ask my dad to be sure, but I think "Sweet Thang" is being restored by that guys son.
