No pics. The meeting was uneventful this year. The garage tour was just that. All garages with parked and polished cars. I was disappointed to not see any under construction cars and no street/hot rods. The meal was great.

One garage even had a couple tools in it and a shop bench.

We'll do our best at Toppers to show 'em how it can be done if you have the passion. That is if we qualify.

The after-shop-tour shop tour was better.  Russian, Ryan, and Other Ryan all stopped by the Norwegian Mafia Headquarters a.k.a. Koolsville to check out the A's in progress.  I even left some tools out and "neglected" to sweep!

Pete, ya gotta get in the shop to get anything done. At the rate things are going, Pinstripers A is going to be motorvating down the road by the time you get a real rear end under the roadster!

My skit will be titled, "What happens to those who volunteer others".  It'll take place in the south, during hurricane season.

I'm starting with a parts hauler.  It drives too :)
How large is the NDSRA, and what are their shows/events?
I'm quite familiar with the MSRA, but know not what the NDSRA is all about.
School the uninformed please!

NDSRA was started to get a few thing changed, and we did. Anything `48 and older can run with out fenders and bumpers. The front tires can be any size, before they had to be 60% of what the rear were. After we got that done we decided to stay a group in case we needed to change the law again. We do not put on a run per say, just a by-monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed on what's happing around the state.

Anybody else have anything to add please do.

Another piece of legislation that NDSRA members helped initiate and get passed was the elimination of the front licence plate.  That rule includes any car 40 yrs. old or older I think.

The SR in NDSRA, just like MSRA, doesn't limit the members to only street rods (pre '49).  I would guess that members with '48 and older rods are probably fewer in numbers than the rest in both organizations.

NDSRA doesn't sanction any runs or shows in the state, but does have "NDSRA Picks" at several runs in the state (chosen by voting of NDSRA members attending the run) from which the Pick of the Year is chosen by a vote of the members.

NDSRA has a board of directors voted on (railroaded) by the membership at the anual meeting. The board is made up of a Pres., VP, Sec., Treas, and 5 regional directors. The board helps spread the word about "old cars" to the general membership.

It has always been a loose run, but fun association to be a member of. Like any other association, a few do much of the work so many can enjoy a get together like was held in Valley City this past Saturday. And it is always enjoyable to get together and visit with people with like interests from around the state and region.

Yes, the garage tour may not have had the cars or work garages that we all like to see; and the business meeting may not have had any breaking news or excitement; but it was good just seeing and visiting with car friends and aquaintances that we only get to see once in a while.

NDSRA, just like MSRA, good bang for the buck.
