so i had a hard time find in a good side motor mount for a later pontiac mill. i had looked at some home built ones and thought that they were kinda plain looking. but some thing clicked when i saw the hurst mount that arch is useing on his nailhead powered A. i figured id try to find a set for the 400 and the ones that i did see werent as organic as the nailhead set. so i decided to fab a similar pair for my motor. luckly the bosses for the mounts on a pontiac block are perpendiclar to the ground, making the use of angle iron a fairly easy choice. i picked up a chunk of 3x3x3/8 stainless and some 3x1/4 bar stock. first i found were i wanted the biscut mount to go then i laid out the block mount holes on the other leg. after drilling these holes i rounded the corners and had hatz tig in the gusset for me.
