so here is the next project. it was just a body (27 t coupe ) no doors no trunk no grille pretty much just a shell. i picked it up in october. since then i built a frame put it on wheels. solid front axle. trianglulated (wow big word) rear with coilovers. handmade trunk. in the process of making doors. one is on and functional. it will be a roadster with a removeable roof when finished. its lookin like it will be powered by a 406 chev because its there and almost ready to run. pardon the pic the garage is a little dark.

looks pretty good
-
starting to look more like a rod now
-
So are you turning it into a roadster?
-
it will be a roadster with a removeable roof when finished.
:D
-
yes it will be a roadster. eventually i am going to make a removable roof for it. i have never owned an open car before so thought i would give it a try.
-
getting closer

Wow.... you have come a long ways. I'm curious about the doors. Did you make them from some other doors or from scratch?
-
made the doors from scratch. model T's are much cooler with suicide doors.
-
I have never been a fan of suicide doors, but the `33-34 Ford 3 and 5 window coupes are one of my favorite cars. What's up with that???
-
i did it just to be differant.

Sorry, what I meant is why do I like a car with suicide doors, but I don't like suicide doors?? That just don't make sense!! ???
It's a safety issue, over the years I have seen two cars where the doors pop open, no-one was hurt but is sure raised hell with the car.
-
i am putting safety pins in the doors that will lock in with the inside handle
-
Looks like you're making progress!

motor in seats, windshield, put the shifter and linkage in today.steering is in and works. did some scalps on the doors but not sure if there staying.
