Think the engine/transmission would be worth rebuilding to put in my '57?

I've tried searching and came up with it either had a 462 or a slight chance of having a 460.  What kind of auto would it have in it though?

I would think it would be VERY expensive, but would be a cool motor in your car. I know nothing about those motors, tho.

Isn't the 462 the one HRC & C is planning on putting in their Bonneville car?

I'm just guessing, but probably a C6 and they are pretty tough.

yeah that would be cool, expensive, but cool. then when that Lincoln unwinds you'll be able hear your fenders clickin on guard rail posts, and the guy beside you will be white as a ghost.

Lincolns are definitely the shit though.

the 5.8s were JUNK in late model trucks..   my grandfather had one in an 86 Ford half ton. it was a dog, didnt pull for shit, and made the worst gas milage ive ever seen in a half ton,  Tims Truck pulling the 24' enclosed made better gas milage than that truck ever did...
