Hi

Hi Guys,
My name is Pete Johnson. I'm from the Fergus area, now living in Moorhead. I'm 24, go to NDSU and deliver pizzas for papa johns, even occasionally in my baby, a light blue one owner so-cal 1970 chevelle. I picked it up the weekend i got home from Iraq. One way ticket to San Diego, drove it home. Never missed a beat.

My car building background comes from racing, building a street stock and a modified for circle track and i miss fabricating. I was an engine building/dyno assistant in Alexandria for a while and half of my friends growing up were 50-60 year old hot rodders who have been doing it twice as long as I've been alive. I love any form of racing engineering and design. Had to quit racing to go to college, so now i need a project, i won't cut up my chevelle.

so i broke into your guys' world this summer (with the help of pinstriper 40) with a 28-29 tudor sedan i picked up at an auction. Bought a 61 olds super 88 for the "ultra hi-compression" 394 with a 4 barrel that runs for 3 bills and have commenced. I'm excited as I've dabbled in most everything bud ol'skool rodz. Saw your clubs cars at the United automotive drive-in cruise recently and man, i loved em. Can't wait to meet you guys at the nostalgia races at the end of the month. Till then, bottoms up, pedal down. Soda, that is.

I suppose i might as well see what the old chevelle has in it. 350. . .2 barrel. . .th350. . .  single exhaust. . . thinkin' a 17.99 would be a close guess?. meanwhile sitting next to the car on a stand in the garage is a 540hp 427. somday. . . maybe. . . I have to put seatbelts in the old girl first. On a side note, i took the dive and bought part of a 28-29 roadster so i guess that is the project instead of a tudor. kinda says 'racer' more than a sedan. see ya at the track.
