1969 Caddy, whats it worth?

So this is the car I found when I went to Devils Run, considering I would like to get this for a cruiser, not really a project, just something to cruise around in.  

472 in it.  I popped the hood and the engine is clean as a whistle.  The guy says he thinks it needs new vacuum hose.  So I dont know if he is saying the engine runs rough, or if he thought the wipers ran under vacuum, cause he said the wipers didnt work and mentioned he thought it was vacuum lines.  

So its got a big dent on the rear right quarter, small dent on the lower rear left quarter, its got rust but not rusting through.  The interior is pretty decent, and he says all the power windows work.

So given the condition it looks, assuming the motor and tranny are in decent (ie tuneup only needed), what would you pay for something like this?  This guy is wanting 2K and I guess I dont know if thats reasonable or not.  Its more than I want to spend, he says hes negotiable on the price but before I would even make the trek and waste both mine and his time I would see if I could get the price range down before I go, if its a reasonable price I wont waste any of his time.

It looks to be a pretty solid car. I think the price is a bit high. Don't know for sure what they are going for now days but I think around 1/2 price would be closer. But it is only worth what you are willing to pay.

Was at an auction yesterday. The guy had a '70 2 door, about the same condition as yours with same motor/trans. If I remember right it went for $1,200.   $2,000 seems a little high, just my opinion. Good luck!
