Found this on Ruffrodders. The suspension is under a shoebox that Bill Hines chopped. Here is a pic of the car and the suspension.

NRChopshop gave this explanation: "the bag is on top of the rear bar. this is lift bar only. it does nothing as far as keeping the rear in place. you use a regular 4 link for that. One end pivots at the frame, the other is mounted to a second pivot, just like a shackle, thats mounted to the rear. this allows the bar to go through its stroke without binding. by having the bag mounted on top of the bar you will get more lift and smoother ride. figure a 2:1 lift ratio if the bag is mounted directly in the middle of the barthe bag is on top of the rear bar. this is lift bar only. it does nothing as far as keeping the rear in place. you use a regular 4 link for that. Kit, KP Components was one of the first to come out with the 6 link kits. Probably 4 or 5 years ago now.

If I was gonna do it over though, I would've made it all myself. Its bolt in and I want to take and fill all the bolt holes now and weld it in smooth. One reason is for the asthetics of it, and second reason is I want to weld in crossmembers behind the axle to mount the tanks to but the bolts are all over.

But then again, I got millions of dollars worth of fabrication tools at my disposal now for nothing more than the cost of metal. So that might have a part to say in me making something like this in the future.

I'm think your welding skills ( if they weren't good before ) have got to dam good now!!!
