Flathead Olds?

So, anyone know what years they made these, any kinda stats on them, or where to get my hands on one?  Pretty damn cool lookin...

thats gotta be a caddy rippoff, if its not a caddy flathead.  they look alot alike.

I wouldn't think they'd have a caddy flattie in this old restored touring.  It doesn't exactly scream hotrod, but I suppose you never know.

So, here's a refresher picture of a flathead Caddy.  Note the distributor on the rear of the engine instead of the front like the one pictured above...

ayep, your right.  i guess ive never heard of the early olds Flatty.  pretty obscure. but i bet someone out there has finned heads for one.

Nope not a rip off, it was all original, donated by the family of the original owner I think to the car club, then they restored it, and gave it to the Historical society and it spends its days drained of fluid out in Bismarck.  

And I don't know what years Olds had it other than 1916, but then again I never even knew Olds had a flathead V8, let alone a V8 in 1916.
