Bringing up old threads?

I have been doing a lot of cruising through threads and have found some really cool stuff!  My question is that there are a lot of threads from quite a few years ago so what is the general opinion about bringing up a four year old post to ask for an update?  Don't want to be a noob responding to things no one has discussed in forever!  Thanks

I say go for it. A lot of those threads have been forgotten about, but not for any real reason other than nobody had any more input. Our server crashed hard quite a few years ago and we lost a lot of threads and pics, but feel free to bring them back up.

sucks that so many photos were lost in many of the threads!  my curiosity is piqued by some of them and I am curious what they look like, but oh well.

Some of these pictures are saved somewhere as well, just not here on the site.  Perhaps if you bring up the posts your interested in, someone might either have new pictures, or the old pictures saved somewhere.
