Kellan's Pickup

Drove over to Dickinson and spent Friday and Sat workin' on Kellan's `41 Ford Pickup. Took a 40 front car fender that fit on the grill but not on the cowl. So we mated a truck fender and the car fender by the cowl. The right rear fender was a POS. When we work on it last time he decided to shit can it and find a better one. Well every lead he found they weren't any better. He bought one off eBay but the pic made it look better than it was. So we went back to the 1st one we started with and used pieces out of the left over front the we mated to the car fender. When I left on Sat we had it lookin’ purdy good. Only took one pic just before we left. That's the rear fender we spliced together last summer that you see in the pic.

Cool! I wouldn't mind a '40-'41 pickup someday to match the sedan. They're cool trucks! Looks like you guys had a good time!

Not sure......I asked him to sing-up but I don't think he has. I bet if I tell him I started a thread about his pick-up he will.

Looks good Tom, I really want to try to gas weld more, especially on curvy stuff like that so its easier to hammer. What torch tip size and rod type/size do you usually use for that stuff?

Nice work you guys. Looks like a fun project. I've got two 40's but they're not even close to the shape of that one. His looks to be pretty solid. Hats off to anyone who can gas weld, I never did get the hang of that shit.
