Howdy all!
Almost lakes country in minnesota. Was away from the car scene for a LONG time,  now about halfways thru a t bucket build. I used to run around in a 55 chevy but like alot of foolish youngsters I sold it. I started the bucket build to see if my building skills were still there and get polished up for the next project!  Hard to haul the wife and kid in a bucket..I saw at least one of your cars at the art olson swap and show in west fargo, looked like you guys were havin fun!.. So far it has been a fairly enjoyable build, no pressure, just go out in the shop and tinker whenever I get the time and feel like it,  which is getting to be more and more as I come twards the end.  (itll never be done)  Im sorry to say the body is glass but Im looking for a phonebooth to stick on top of the frame. Will have to wait and see what comes down the pipe. Wife wants a leadsled type so were looking for an affordable 40's 50's chebbie or ford. I'd like to do a 61 impala for myself and I'll probably end up with my dads 64 impala in a few years, it needs a resto but its been in the family since 72 and stored inside since 84..Looked at it the other day, pretty straight and the floors are nice still!.  Back on the bucket its a definite lowbuck operation. One of my goals was not to spend more than 4 grand on the whole thing and Im not even close yet. I have built pretty much everything but the body and the front axle myself, frame, crossmembers, steering column, rad shell and mounts, radius rods, fuel tank .. Some stuff was leftover from my youth, just couldnt toss it! lol  I traded off some spare parts for a set of stewart warner gauges including speedo! Lucky I guess , right spot right time.   Better bail for the night!!  Paul

Well the driveway is finally paved and The bucket has never seen the light of day, it was the first set of wheels on the new asphalt. Kinda fun to be able to actually stand back a ways and see your monstrosity.lol Heres a couple pics..Paul

Actually getting close to being able to run.
gotta do the wiring yet tho. I need to be in a zen mindframe to wire stuff, kinda like jim morrison in the desert. Might have to take a day or two off of work! lol
Keep forgetting about those headers too, I should just make a set...Probably got enough scrap pipe under my work table to cobble up a decent set!
