My 4-door progress

haven't posted anything on my car yet so I thought now was a good time too! This is my first build so if you have and good advice or suggestions, that would be awesome!

When I got my frame the horns were chopped off...




Then I purchased new ones...




Cross member added...



Started putting the suspension together...




Attempted to open the drivers side doors... The back one opens but the front one the hinges are pretty rusted together.


Time for a lift kit for the Jeep... She don't like that trailer holding her down.

Are you planning to spit the wishbone?

What are you running for a rear suspension?

Yup we will be splitting them!

For the rear we just got the 4-link... We are gonna put coil-overs in the rear.

nice frame repair! I hope you're keeping the body a 4 door? That'd be cool. I'm not familiar with the plans overall. Whats next?

I think your 4 link/coilover rear is a good idea.

The frame work and suspension looks good, but I sure don't envy the work ahead on the body.   :)

What kind of drive train are you planning?

Ditto.  Don't worry about it though- just work on the bodywork until you're almost burned out on it, then stop for a while- looks like you'll have some work ahead of you!  Nice job on the frame so far- split bones will be cool!

I am keeping it a full 4-door!!!

I'm gonna be putting the 305 V8 I got from my uncle in it for now.

And ya, the body needs a lot of work... But I'm up for the challenge.

Nah, I got a tranny for now. Its a 4L60E... or something like that.

No no, electronic overdrive trans is waaay better than a 3spd manual in an old street rod. :)
