Just double checked my reservations..   Checking in on sunday, and checking out on thursday.

Ok, now i have some questions....

How do we get our stuff out on the salt?  there aint much room in my roadster for more than dad and I.

What are the "MUST TAKES" with you out there?

Big hat, CHECK   Sunglasses, CHECK

we should put a list together.

I have my canopy that will come along.  Coolers  etc  sure..   what else needs to come?

& sunblock up your nostrals...or you'll be real sorry.

Your canopy & chairs balance between you on the first day out. Once the canopy framing is set, all you have to carry out the next days are your chairs, canopy cover, cooler, lots 'o H2O, snacks, BIG HAT, camera.

I was telling Patti this weekend that we've been packing sandwhiches for during the day. We get on the salt about 9-ish and return about 7-ish & the vendors are too expensive to eat @ during the day. Things that you don't need to over-exert yourself with cuz it's too damn hot.

Wear long sleeves with light fabric. Suprisingly long sleeves are cooler than short sleeves.

you people are only visiting the desert. . . .

I hear its a bit humid at bonneville, so I'm not looking forward to that, but I loved the hot and dry. 120+ is still f'ing hot though, no matter how dry it is.

Yeah............the SCTA guys at the start line where white long sleeves shrits and white long pants. I have even seen them with finger gloves on too. To bad about there hats, they have baseball type caps because of the head sets they have on.
