HEHE!!!! I definately have vacation then.....!!!!!  Only crappy part is I come back to the fist day of school so I have to work my tail off the weeks before.

So I was thinking today (yesterday, i guess). . . I have sergeant school from 2 Aug to 16 Aug in Nebraska. So i was thinking. . . b'ville? I'll be half-way there, right? My wife caught me staring at the ceiling and asked what I was thinking about. I told her and she said I should go for it. What a woman. Better fix the leaky radiator on the chevelle. . . .cuz I'm going to BONNEVILLE!!!!

Why am I up at 2am typing this? Can't sleep. I'm stoked.

Hey Pete, hate to burst you bubble, but there is no way in HELL I would drive your Chevelle on the salt. Drive it down and park it where the pavement ends and get a ride in. Just my $.02.

Yes, I was out there with the chevelle on my way home from Cali. It was gorgeous. It was flooded, so I just drove off along the road, and it was pretty soft. Got the car on the salt at least a little. Washed it off at the next stop. I'm kinda sick though, I've been looking for the pictures from Bonneville for a half hour and I can't find them.  :(

Taken from the SCTA site ..........

" 06/30/08: Our advance team have returned from their first trip to the salt to begin lying out our courses for SpeedWeek 08. As of this date we have three courses set up. 1 long (5 mile) and 2 short (3 mile). Salt was dry and hard. More to follow in the weeks to come. "

We will be there Sunday late afternoon......most of us are at the Nugget this year. Tom is at the Super8 and you may find us at the bend on Sunday night.
