I noticed several cars in the project section that have welding under way but the chassis and body are solid rust. Are they being built that way because it's traditional or just not sand blasted yet?
Excuse my ignorance.
I planned on dropping off my new project at the blaster on the way home. Is this wrong?

not blasted yet. It is alot easier to work with clean metal but like on my frame I chose to just clean up the areas that need to be welded on and then once it was all tacked together I took it in to have it blasted.

most of my body is too poor to have blasted and I worried about too many holes in it when it returned, so I will be sand blasting at home where needed, wire brushing and using por 15 in spots.

on mine i've cleaned up where i welded and like 31 i'm a lil worried about holes so most of my stripping has been done with a wire brush and a 3m rust disk and not a pole

I actually like the rust look. Unfortunately in MN it never sleeps.
