Today I worked on the cowl.  I had to make a pie cut to help the bottom of the cowl flow with the 32 frame.  Without the pie cut I would have to run an ugly filler underneath the body to lift it up. I now have the body mounts complete too so it is now bolted down.  I will finish welding the cowl panels this week.

Yeah..........that will work. You will have to make a mount on the inside of the frame for the front body mount......right??

yes, i made a tapped tab on the inside of the frame rail that the front of the cowl mounts to.

good question, I think I will work on the doors where the latch mechanism bolts to... the old nuts are missing or rusted away so I need to do repair to those areas next....  if I remember right there are three mounting points and I  have one good one per door.

I am making some progress on getting the front and rear brakes all ready to go.
I am using 32-34 spindles up front, they have been modified to use 48 ford backing plates.
I like the look of the built in steering arm on these spindles.
Also I am waiting on my brake linings to arrive so I can get them installed.

I've got the little set tool and punch to rivet your linings to the shoes if you need one to use.

I cant believe I haven't done an update in a while.
Brakes are done.
I went thru the transmission and replaced one gear. so the transmission in done also.
I am now waiting on some gaskets to arrive to finish up the motor and make it look purdy.

yep, just used the center section from a 12v and the ends from the 6v. goes together in just a few minutes.
