it fits pretty close, it shouldn't take much to get it just right.  I will have to add a little metal to the top of the cowl posts to fill small gap on each side.

Got the dash tacked in place this weekend. not the best picture quality, but you get the idea.

I also had time to get the deck lid mounted.  I paid 20 bucks for the hinge kit, and found all that it was for a pin on each side was a 5/16th bolt with the threads ground down on each end , so I just used some patience and penetrating oil and used the old hardware with the new pins.
you cant see the work i did but the lid is mounted in the pic.  I just have to do some minor tweaking on the lid to get it just right, but I am pleased with the results.

I ended up cutting an equal amount off of each side of the dash.  I was initally looking at removing the ashtrays but they gave a nice look to the dash.

UPDATE

I got the shocks mounted on the front and back now.  I am using original shocks up front and tube shocks in the rear.  I got the drive shaft taken care of.  The chassis is almost complete.  Then i can take it all apart and do the finish welding.

I installed new brushes in the starter so that is ready to go.
