Yeah......... and what's the rest of the running gear?? You put that together in Klum??[/quote]
Motor is a 1940 flathead, 3 3/16 X 3 3/4. It was factory relieved. I thought that was kinda neat to see when I pulled off the heads. L100 cam and the rest you can see in the pictures. Transmission is the old 3 speed ford with an aluminum flywheel ahead of it. Front axle is from a 1940 Ford with the spring eyes reversed giving a few inch drop. The back has the Model A rearend with hydraulic brakes stuck on.
That is the quick run down. Nothing fancy, just simple fun.
I bought the car as a stocker a couple years back. The motor was weak and it was not too exciting to drive. I had bought the running gear off of another car that was street rodded about the same time. So last year I switched the stuff over but that motor had a cracked block. This past winter I put together this motor. Have been working out the bugs this summer. Have it to the point now where we can take it places and still make it back home, that is a good feeling.
