Only 19 pics, battery died again, and my backup wasn't charged.  I hate shooting indoor shows anyways.

I was hopin for a nice weekend in Fargo getting f'ed up with my old roomate from college, but when him and his dad got off the garage tour he found out his club got kicked out of the show and the cops were telling them to leave town!

8) Nice pics.  I thought it was a good show.  Nice examples for almost anyones taste.  Some great cars are coming out of this area.

I too thought it was a good show, the only thing I would change would be not having the owners of the cars sit by them during the show in their lawn chairs.  Its a car show not a rod run.  just my 2 cents.

First time in their history that anyone was kicked out of the show.  I'd be careful who I claimed as acquaintences.

Show was excellent.  We thought that since we only had to pick first in class it would be easier to judge.  WRONG!!!  The quality of the cars entered was way up again.  We napped at about 4:15 to 7:30 then finished up the tough ones by around 9:30.

Nice job on the Swedes club display---NO I DIDN"T STEAL ANY GOODIES!!!  It was tough resisting.

I had to go to the chiropractor on Monday----it seems I tossed my neck out when these young ladies in the pinstriped "Dickies" cruised by.

I'll claim him, I won't claim the rest of his club.  I've never met any of them before.

My old roomate is a member of the MSRA and so is his dad, for a very long time.  So they were both really embarassed that it happened.

He's got a '48 Chevy pickup, and he's got a '54 Ford that he is going to do up as a traditional hot rod.  We're even talking about going to the Pileup this year.

I don't know the official story, and at the time when he told me, he might not have known either.  He was on the garage tour and when he got back they were kicked out.  He said that one of the guys was drunk, and was p/oed that they wouldn't let him get his truck out on Sunday before 6, and then I heard he got into it with some of the officials.

I met up with him at his hotel as they were cancelling their rooms.  Both him and his dad were pissed as hell about what the guy did and it sounded like the rest of the club was too.

Drama drama drama.  From they way it sounds, most of the group was standing around by and on their vehicles, drinking and going on, and got a little loud.  They were talked to by the Toppers and a few words were exchanged about them picking on the younger guys, and it got way out of hand.  They at first were going to take away a couple of their armbands, then it erupted.  They said they weren't going to leave their cars in the show if they could come near them.  More Toppers had to go over and talk to them, and it was decided that the whole club was out.  Nasty deal.

That's how I heard the story.  Pretty crappy that the entire thing had to happen in the first place.

But from what I saw of the show, I thought it was pretty good to.  Didn't get to see the whole show because I was strapped for time though. :-(

I wouldn't doubt it, they were minitruckers.

the minitruckers deal is irrelevant. Antibling, You talking about Lou Marshalls son?  he has a unique name and i cant remember it.

they were on the bus with me. Kinda gotta feel bad that a couple people in his club screwed it up for all of them.  ITs just a perfect example, the toppers show is not a Tintmasters event, totally different crown and respect is warranted.

i talked to Gary Rikke [sp] from grand forks and he said prime steel kicked out a mini truck club last year-maybe same club-for moving stanchions and cars out of place and blocking aisles from show goers. i guess they got somewhat rowdy too

These guys at Toppers were all from the cities and they haven't been to a ND show other than Toppers as far as I know.
