Yes............The Mighty Bolo!!!!!!

And the car pick went to Dave Boardman's 32 roadster.

We changed it to Member........... I wish we could change the name of the origination too.

We had our meeting at Chris and Jens last week. They showed us a small hard cover book from the mid 50's called "Street Rodder".

Yeah, I read that that in junior high. The author was Henry Felson or some thing like that. I got the set, he had like 5 or 6 books.

That is a really good book about the early days of young hot rodders.  I haven't read those since high school.  Tom, do you remember where you got the set of books?

Ahhhh those were the days.  Henry Gregor Felson. "Hot Rod" is probably his most popular book.

Here's a link.....it's actually on display at the Smithsonian Museum right now! Check out those related links on the left side also.

Dam Ryan, can't believe as young as you are that you would have had the chance to read any of them. My daughter read one or two of the ones I have, she not a car chick, she just likes to read. My son had no interest in them. :(

I got mine from ISCA. They are the company that owns World of Wheels. They did a limited release, must have been in the late eighties. You can some times find them for sale at the library and on e-bay. Here's a pic of my set.

Check last night, they did 2500 copies of the six book set in 1990.
