Old Tin find in Nebraska
« on: February 04, 2007 2:34 am »
Was driving to my folk's from a job interview, and came across this place with the old tin and had to stop.

Also saw this photo-op and had to stop.

I never saw anyone around, so I don't know how outrageous his prices are.

But one thing, I've never taken much interest in Model A's before, I've admired them and all, but never really took too big of interest in the details of them because I've never thought I'd be able to own one.

But if this job works out, I might see if I can't pick one up.

So for you more experienced in pricing and picking up projects, what kind of ballpark would you pay for that blue 5 window?  I assume it was somebodies altered wheelbase drag car back in the day, hence the hacked wheel opening and hacked welding of the old wheel opening.

No deck lid, nothing for the front end, just the main shell sitting on a frame.  I didn't look at everything there too closely because the wind was blowing about 50 mph.

I would guess it was prolly a homemade tractor at one time...I'm with Todd on the amount, although he prolly wont take it...usually when someone has a bunch of stuff together their in the know and prices reflect it.

Ya, if I'm down there though I need to make friends with the people who have pastures along the river.  I have a feeling there are plenty of model A's out there for the pickin.
