All right guys, here's where i'm at. As you can see, the cowl has to come down. Or i could raise the back and drive a hiboy. just kidding. The bullet holes are staying. Plans are: Z'ing a little here, a little there, channeling an inch or two, a V-windshield, and a rollbar. Throw in your 2 cents.    -J

BTW header flanges can be had from http://www.hotrodchassisandcycle.com/ ask for Kevin. He told me 65 bux.

thanks guys. Why can't i find a rearend that rolls? I'm getting impatient and desparate. And is it just me or is this car really long? 114" wheelbase

I forget what my wheelbase is on my T, but 114" doesn't seem too bad.  I think my T is like 122" or so, and it IS long.

I still haven't found a rearend that will work. The one i had before was way too wide. The one in the pic was just the model A piece I threw under there for kicks. I'm having a bit of trouble finding a narrow enough rearend with a ford bolt pattern. I must not be looking very hard. I've heard 56-59 ford cars, early broncos, S-10's, and '32-'48 ford cars have the right stuff, but nothing has fallen out of the sky yet. Any leads?

if you are looking for the 5 on 5 1/2 you will have a tough time finding one.  the 57 to 59 Ford have the smaller pattern.  early broncos should have the 5 on 5 1/2 but good luck finding one of those.  if you find the 57 to 59 ford car you could send the axles off and have flanges added to run the 5 on 5 1/2 like eyeball, but that will cost some extra bucks.  I run the 5 on 5 pattern on my A and thats about as wide of a pattern as you can run on the 57-59 ford.

Damn, So how about I just narrow the housing on one side of a normal 61" wheel to wheel 9-inch so the yoke is centered and buy an axle to fit? 9 inch axles are kinda cheap. Or convert a '47 rearend to non-torque tube? Are all the '32-'48 rearends the same width?
