No wagon, but.....................
« on: September 05, 2006 4:04 am »
As some of you know Kathy and I headed to Mantoville on Saturday to look and and purchase a '57 Chevy wagon. Kathy has wanted one forever but it was allot rougher than we were hoping and I just didn't think I would have had the time to fix the body. It ran good but the body needed MAJOR repair.

Our friend Jay and his wife had owned the wagon about a year ago and they took us over to the guys house that was selling it. When we returned to Jay's place he said. Hey you should buy my car. It is a 55 with 56 front and rear end. Long story. So we struck a deal on it! I need to change engine but I picked one up from Serious a few weeks ago. It now has a 327 with a 4 speed. Any way here are a few pics and one with the proud new owner.

OH---and don't forget the matching white fur--around the rearview mirror and in the glovebox.  (It's traditional).

It looks like a real nice and fun ride.

It looks better in the pics than it does in person. Still will be a fun car that the whole family can fit in.:)

Damn, I forgot to add in the fur after I cleaned it...on my way to find it...or buy it, before Thursday...thanks for the reminder!

She's great! I drove her to work today with no problems. She's in need of some TLC but she'll be great for pullin the camper as soon as we get the clutch and motor straightened out.

I am going to put the 283 I bought from Serious in it. This one is fine in town but looks like a jet car going down the interstate. :)
