Soda/Sand Blasting
« on: June 25, 2009 6:13 pm »
Am looking at having my '50 and '51 bead blasted. Noticed that there are two outfits in Mandan (closest for me to take to) that do glass blasting which I am told will remove all paint/rust without warpage.  I contacted the one place and they quoted me $700-$1200 per car. Has anyone had work done by anyone in the area and if so where at and what was your opinion of the work done? My other option is to go the "blue tarp" route and build a makeshift blasting enclosure and do it myself. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
...And if you call in the next 20 minutes, cause we can't do this all day...

I know the guy whos add is in Street Talkin'. I never had him do anything for me, I know he has repete coustomers.

If you have a large air compressor (cfm) it might be something to try your self.

Soda will do nothing on rust. only paint.   Glass can still build heat, but is much better than silica, and gives a better overall finish.

It is spendy.
