Amenia, ND (WDAY TV) - He was often at the center of controversy who’s run-ins with the law over the years landed him behind bars.


49-year old David Habiger of Casselton has died. Authorities say they do not suspect foul play. He was found dead in his home.


Habiger has long been an anti-abortion activist. In 1991, he was arrested during an emotional and volatile mass protest in Fargo. He recently was arrested after a scuffle with authorities who were trying to remove junk cars in his yard.


During court appearances, Habiger would quote scripture from the bible and recite sections from the constitution. Habiger's body has been sent to Bismarck for autopsy.

i heard it was natural causes. but my first guess was a shoot out with the law.  or a heart attack
