I got body work done.

Well this is nothing to brag about but, I got a small piece of metal in my eye about a week ago and it did not work its way out so I had to go to the doc today and have it removed.  They picked it out with a needle type tool and then used a rotary tool to clean out the rust ring that had formed.

this video is almost exactly like my visit.  take a look

I usually have the eye protection on, but hey this was just a small area that I just had to finish grinding and I didn't see my eye protection around, so I decided to grind without it.  I wont do that again.

Hope it all turns out OK. And hopefully a whole bunch of people read your story.

Like all our Moms and Dads told us......you could poke an eye out!

It's really pretty easy to put those glasses or shields on.

Glad you're on the mend.

Are you off work??? I cant see you going to work with a pirate patch on. I don't think it's part of the uniform.

I took the patch off this morning and it looks good.  it did suck just having just one eye to see out of and was a real pain to drive that way.

When I had that lit sulfur go in my eye, I saw halos around every light for about a week before I went in. It had started to heal over so they had to cut it out. That wasn't as bad as the drops they put in to dilate my pupils. Had to drive from South Fargo to Moorhead on a sunny winter afternoon with my eyes WIDE open. That sucked.
I was also working on the car the other day WITH face shield AND safety glasses on. I still felt a piece of metal bounce around my eye, but didn't go in. Can never be too careful.

Holy crap.  Jesus Todd, hope you're feeling better.  I didn't hear anything about this.  Don't want to loose your eye jelly.  We are watching training videos on safety all the time at work as part of our Minnesota Telephone Association membership.  There was a guy cutting a 2x4 that had a splinter the size of a pencil jab him in the eye.  It was ridiculous, but makes ya think about it. haha

good to hear you're healing up.  them damn safety glasses come in real handy, although if anyone has ever been grinding fiberglass and had a shard of that in your eye, i would have to say i would rather have the steel... fiberglass sucks!
