At the Indianapolis Gran Prix last year, I decided to stand on the bridge that goes over the track to get the "full effect." Holy shit. They don't tickle your eardrums, they flippin' pucnture them. Like getting zapped by an HEI spark while sticking a Qtip all the way into your ear. I HAD to wear earplugs all day and that was in the stands. The most amazing form of racing I've ever witnessed.
