Title: Model A roadster parts

hey guys,
looking for a rear decklid for a 28-29 roadster. Also looking for roadster doors and a cowl if they don't cost a fortune, otherwise i'm cutting up a tudor sedan. Does anybody know what exactly is different between a tudor sedan and a roadster as far as the frame, floor frame, doors, hinges, cowl, etc? its all new to me. thanks racerJ

I saw a decklid at the swap meet this last weekend for 300 bucks, which isnt bad since it was solid.  The decklids are getting hard to find,  I got a decklid skin from Howell sheetmetal for $110 i think and am going to build the innerstructure for it . 28-31 Ford decklids will interchange.
The frame would be the same.  the rear spring would have one or two leafs less.
The subrails are diffenent, doors are diffenent, hinges are diffenent and cowl is different.
I will take a few pics if  you want.

thanks for the decklid info. So, since i'm not that picky, i could modify my 28 tudor's cowl and doors to make somthing fit since a roadster doesnt' really fit all 6'4" of me? My 28 tudor isn't in the best condition and i got it cheap so i'm not against sacrificing the front half for the roadster. What is the best way to channel those things? I was thinking I'd modify the subrails, narrow the frame that the door hinges are mounted to to make it resemble the roadster's a little more. Is it just me or is this kind of a hackjob. I'm not paying 400 bucks for doors and more for cowl stuff when i have a nice cowl and doors that are modifyable.

You should ask this question in the general discussion area and I am sure some of the guys with high speed internet could post some options for you on this.  It seems you want an open car without the roof, so you could make a roadster pickup out of it, or a tub.

Well, I do want an open top, that's why i bought a roadster back end. the problem is I don't want to cut the cowl off a perfectly good tudor sedan. So if anybody has a 28-29 cowl only, please let me know.
