Title: Help me choose interior color for my wagon...
Post by: MnHotRod on April 20, 2006 4:53 am
Interior in this thing is coming out and stock is going back in. I know you guys are old school hot rods. That's why I came here to ask. It may not have old school flames but it _will_ look cool if I pick the right interior color. Something that brings the car back to a vintage 60's build color.

What color interior should I put into this thing? A friend said white. What do you think?

What is that base coat?  Kinda hard to tell in the pix.  Is it a silver metalic?  Or a blue tint to it?

Base is Deltron 650. Car was built by Wade Hughes out of Cincinnati. Any rod built by Bobby Alloway you have seen with flames, Wade has done them. This was Wades shop truck for years.

My favorite stock color is fawn. Not sure it will match the paint. I'm not much into white but I think it may be the best color. I can picture white with flake. I've seen that color in 50's style boats when I was a kid.

To me, your most traditional looking interior will be a white or black with the opposite color of piping, but that's just me.  If the basecoat was a heavy silver fake I would have said go flake all the way with a white or silver piping.  Also depends on how you want to accent things.  Just piping?  Inserts?  some sort of dinner v shape on the top?  Lots of options.

Can you guys post some pics of your ideas? Examples of what might look cool? Anybody here know Moriority? Maybe he has some ideas. Pics will help big time. Post up if you have them.

Dig the pics from VLV. I'm saving some of them for inspiration on a second wagon.

I think all of us know Moriority. And I'm sure his ideas would be golden. :albino:
