Title: Four link setup

Anybody have advice on a fairly economical triangulated four link setup for the Stude? With the stock SBC and s-10 rearend, I don't anything that is capable of planting 700hp or anything. Just want to redo the rear suspension to be able to pull the camper. I'm thinking of bags in the rear also.

Not a 4 link but I see alot of people using the chevy truck rear arms or a home made I beam type arms. I think everyone I have seen is running bags as well.

Dad put a set of those Truck rear arms under the 53 Buick, and they worked out great..  id Highly Reccomend going that way.

When I looked in to it for the shoebox you could get used nascar arms for around 150 a pair

I completely built my own for the '62 Merc.  This was about as cheap as you can go.  The shocks are stock, still in the factory location and mounts.  The lower outside control arms use the original forward spring mounts.  All bushings are universal Energy Suspension urethane bushings.  I built the arms out of DOM tubing (8 ga. wall).  Adjustment is done by sliding the axle on the outside control arm mount, this changes both pinion angle and axle location. Hopefully this gives you some ideas. 

Ignore the fact that there is only one pipe, the other will be there shortly.   ::)

i put the chevy trailing arms in the merc.  I have seen them on other early fords as well...they are really pretty easy and lean to the bag set up pretty nicely.

Thanks everyone. I've decided to go the truck arm setup and found a pair of Roush Nascar arms on Ebay with the panhard bar. UPS said it should be here Nov 15! It'll be nice to finally not have to be concerned about the rear suspension on that thing.
