So, here is a pic as it was when I got it. The truck was rougher than the pictures but had decent floors and a good running 235. So far I have:
-Put 4 in drop mono leafs up front with some caster shims.
-Cleaned and painted the gas tank
-New brakes, dual master, lines.
-Took out the regular 3 speed and put in a Ford 3spd overdrive transmission (had a rebuilt one)
-Added a 2GC Rochester (double the barrels double the fun)
-Alan Grove 6 cylinder alternator and compressor mounts
-New radiator, condenser and evaporator mounted hope to have hose made soon and will have a literally cool ride. Not traditional but it will get driven a lot to swap meets and parts runs and my ass is delicate so I need these kind of perks.
-I have 15" artillery's at the powdercoater and will be running 1940 Chevy caps and beauty rings with some older white wall bias plys.
What I need to do yet:
-2" drop shackles for the rear.
-Got an old 50's aftermarket rear exhaust manifold, so I need to cut and cap the original and get my dual exhaust run.
-Natalie is covering some '68 T-bird seats (look kind of like early 60's GM buckets)
Hope to get some epoxy primer and base on it as I am not a flat black kind of guy but that will be later this summer...maybe for Watertown.
Some random pics for you will be adding more soon!

Hey Chris, no more camping with the in-laws at Watertown??
Like you new choice of wheels, haul those directional’s to the scrap yard so no one will ever have to look at them again!! ;)
-
The wheels were bad, check out the seats...ugh. I think our days in the 5th wheel are numbered. Still hoping to get our 1960 Nomad (Shasta ripoff) ready for Watertown. Probably pulled by this panel.

I just noticed in the 1st pic. Did that truck come from CA? You don't have trees like that in MN. Do ya??
-
Came from Miami, pretty solid compared to midwest trucks but not the dry desert truck I had hoped for, some inner fender holes and the rockers and inner steps are bad.
-
You could zip tie some wheel covers on dem directionals like at the Pile Up. :P

CLASSY!!!

I thought you would dig it. 8)

Got the few holes in the floor welded up and painted time for insulation. Also got the exhaust cut and plugged so I can use the rear manifold I got at 50's...damn it was hot this weekend.
-
Note the Suede's pick award hung with care in the stock exhaust pic! 8)
-
Nice job on the split.
-
that exhaust is going to sound awesome!
-
Put the GMC Over rider in as a grille bar still needs something floating grill bar or maybe a knob grill...not sure

Niffty

The truck runs, rides and sounds great, and that overdrive trans makes it work so slick!! 8) Don’t know if you noticed from your side but when you check out the heater core there seemed to be an outside air leak coming in on the passenger side.
-
Hey Tom I got a new heater and heater core at the swap and was told it is fine (no leaks) so I am going to put that in tonight. I think the leak may have something to do with the fact that I just jamed the vent door back in best I could as the seals are shot and I need new ones...maybe I should have looked at French Lake... :(
-
Thinking of putting a 58 Chevy bumper on here is a photoshop concept...It has been done before and I like it.
-
A chrome one or flat black??
Hey a new heater and some wipers and your ready to conquer the world. 8)
-
I still can't get over how that thing moves........my '59 is so jealous.

I think the secret is the 4:11 gears with the overdrive!!
-
So did you get the new o.d. in? Did it change anything?
-
He's finishing it up tonight. I know this, because I'm eagerly waiting for his hoist to be available...
-
Cool. You should do a thread on the stude updates.
