Title: Driveshaft
Post by: CJHacker on July 15, 2005 4:15 pm
So, two piece driveshafts suck.  I have a theory to throw out at everyone...

There is an issue with the mounts breaking if your travel changes too much in the rear.  Now if looking at air bags some day, how would this work?  Could you leave the bolts loose enough to allow the shaft to move forward or backward but still keep from rotating, or are people just converting to a one piece?  Any thoughts?

On a good note though, mine is ready to be picked up and I'm my way over to get it!  :hardydance:

There have been a few disscussions about it on the HAMB and it seems that people  have not had problems with the 2 piece shaft and bags.

Here is one like. It refers to a 1960 Pontiac (wonder how I found this one) but would apply to you chev as well.
