Greetings from Deadwood.
What the fudge is this tire? Was at a junkyard in Newcastle, WY today and started walking up on this thinking it was a neat old drag tire. Then I got up there, WTF?

Did a google search and only thing I could find was a picture someone else took of one.

Sooo many places I wanted to stop so far on my drive to look at old rides & old buildings. But having a trailer on back kinda limits that. This summer if I got the money I'm going to hop in my jeep and make this drive again and then I'll be able to explore some of these logging roads I've seen vehicles tucked back in.

i worked at a esso station after i got out of nam and we sold these tires, some where around 1972. they were promoted by the company to be the new all season tread that you could run winter and summer. back then everybody changed tires every spring and fall. kinda cut into our profits for about 2 years that they were on the market, but didnt have the winter traction that you need up here in maine so they stopped making them because no one bought a second set.........rants from a old man........

This picture was coincidentally taken at a junkyard in Maine where the old Willys had probably been since 1972...
There is still some cool vintage iron lurking around the woods of Maine despite the high junk prices last summer.
