Title: gona make ya famous
Post by: sko_ford on January 13, 2009 3:34 am
as pulled from hopupmag.com

We’ve shown this image before with the Huntimer-designed bang-quet decal on the dash, but this time it’s a tease for the car it’s attached to...Tom Huber’s well-known, well-traveled modified roadster. We have a feature on it in Hop Up Volume X; pre-sales for that issue will start in a month or so.

Thanks. I just sent off the consent, waiver and release form, never had to do that before. But I never had full feature before, just one or two shot at an event. Anybody ever had to do this??

It's a standard "I'm going to make money off this so you can't sue me for using a picture of your car" stuff.

Congrats Tom.

8) Congrats Tom.....I'll have to get that one.  I'm sure it will be one of the biggest highlights of your rodding history.

I suppose "signed copies" will be a premium?  :)

I had to do the release thing with Am. Rdr. in '95 for the RPU feature.  I think it must be pretty standard.  You are giving them ownership of those photos and agree to let them use them for what ever they want, including advertising.

I had to. The year he came through here it was raining. The next time we were to get together at the salt he wasn't there like we had planned, he ended up at a wedding. Then he suggested I take them and send them to him and he let me know if they were good enough. He like them and said he could use them. So now the T will be in number ten.

I told him it's a little self serving, he said they do it a lot.

Ah yes Jake I remember it well. I said " what the hell is Jake doing?" you were running back and forth with the pipes a rappin". Some one told me you were doing a photo shoot. I think I said " NO SHIT"

Check with Randy Gribble he handles them.

Yes it will. Like I'm sure it was for you also. :)

With us living up here in the sticks we don't get much press. And there are some dam fine builders around these parts!!

ahhhh.....where there's a will, there's a way.....you may not build from a rusty pile of crap again, but I doubt you will quit messing around with rods in some way, shape or form!!

We might not be as fast at it, but we are usually smarter at it, than we used to be :!:

Congratulations!!! If anyone deserves it, it's you.  Can't wait to see the issue.  Jake's right, you won't quit.  It's like giving up sex .... or something like that.

I'd be interested in trading a big bottle of ibuprofin for an autograph on my copy!

Char just picked up some from Sam's Club. Two bottles tied together. I think the count is 1000. I don't think I’ll use them all before they expire, besides you don't want me to ruin your copy with an autograph..

Josh and Todd……..I laugh my ass off.  lalalala  too funny.

Jake,  they guy I get my back supports from deals with people  that have the same condition as me. He says” most of them watch TV and wait for the welfare check, but you build cars.” He doesn’t know how I do it.

A Hop Up, Rodder's Journal, or R&C feature would be very motivating I would think.  Congrats Tom!

Very nice Tom. The pics look like a professional photo shoot, did you shoot them with your 35mm?
Title: gona make ya famous
Post by: Tom on July 30, 2009 3:20 pm
Thanks Tim. I did them on an overcast day so I wouldn't have harsh shadows. I did some manual settings that may have helped. It’s only a 4 meg camera, but apparently it was good enough.

Morty went through Watertown SD a couple of weeks ago and Randy Gribble saw him. I guess it's for sale, he has the rights to it, the name. He has a nother business that he needs to spend more time with.
