apparently this was/is a mazda Carol.

ok

The door gaps are nice.
-
I like the traditional low-pro front wide whites, not to mention the beautiful, shapely, and flowing grille shell
-
then again, its a nice short wheelbase. I wouldnt mind cranking the wheel over and burning the tires off'n it. Wonder what engine its running? looks like a single small carb.

i guess i never explained this... yesterday just as a random experiment i had typed "traditional hot rod" into Google Image search. this was one of the first things to show up. it was built by some japanese students. it was a Mazda carol which is apparently the first car Mazda ever built. it sits on a suzuki chassis. thats as far as i cared to read into it. i just thought it was kind of funny, what Google's perception of a traditonal hot rod is. thats all, just a totally random post.

Basically just confirming what we already all know... if it has wide whites and red steelies, with some random bits of chrome, and a not-too-glossy paint job, then it IS a "traditional hot rod"

I bet the shriners would like a fleet of these.

I've never seen one as a highboy
