Chrome bumpers and a grill , differnt wheels, and thats about it t o make that real presentable,   without the chrome there is just too much red.

ive got a 62 chevy 2wd shortbox fleetside thats in the works too.

Looks good, agree with serious, but when you chrome the bumpers shave the bumper bolts.

i've got a c20 at a friends farm she just bought i might be bringing home, great body, nice patina, no rust...

The bike kicks ass. But if you are like me I didn't hardley get a chance to ride for the last two years so I sold mine this fall. Don't miss it yet. I think your roadster will help you through the tough times.

was going well in my life till I started looking at hot rods at Sturgis and that drove me over the edge    actually was that cat radiator flathead car that got me torked up and then I went nuts looking for cars on my last hurrah
Title: road trip adventure
Post by: eugenevik on December 05, 2008 5:05 am
took 10 days   a LOT   OF $$$$,
a new assortment HF tools to fix truck
only 1 a arm fell off on NY tollway
went through 3 snowstorms on way home, nothing like a front end overhaul in motel lot!!!
got some help from a member of a Buffalo NY car club, sledge and bar work to align the crashed lower a arm!!!

Title: failure
Post by: eugenevik on December 05, 2008 6:09 am
u bolt on arm broke ,  the alignemnt pins were worn off too
was a crunching squeaking and shimying, but after wh brng on other side  and u bolts it was a whole lot better,  took a lot of spring shops to get them made up  this aged me into retirement!!!
and froze me the rest of the way into a fossil!!!

and had to hire a tray hauler to get it to metel lot

WTF no heater???
Title: FUNNNNNNN brrr
Post by: eugenevik on December 05, 2008 4:01 pm
no heater   from factory

looks like some of the world lives out of the great northern frozen wasteland

put in a electric heater    alt  could onley keep up to the lights, finally give up and froze , had  put a extra batt on floor for heater, but killed it too and could not get it to charge up again  field service mechanic is not my bag anymo,  but at  least I got the wheels back on it
packing wheel bearings in rain sucks had to drive them in on the floor of the Dakota

yes it was a little frustrating and the cost of the trip was probbably more than the first owner paid for the truck!!!

but  made  it home and all the metal is in place
posi and tires were a hoot but many trucks and cars crashed in Wi and Ill and I made it back OK

Title: shiney metal
Post by: eugenevik on December 13, 2008 2:09 am
dragging on cement or asphalt has a tendency to grind off some metal

still sturdy enough to hold the wheel on!!!!
